In the spirit of giving rice and sharing clothes, joining hands to prevent the COVID-19 epidemic, the Executive Board of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha of Long An Province, the Provincial Police and An Tho Pagoda have implemented the program “rice bags of gratitude” to support and share with others. People are facing difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
After a short time of launching, the program “rice bags of gratitude” has received the active support of donors and Buddhists inside and outside the province. Up to now, the program has mobilized resources corresponding to more than 60 tons of rice. Rice is purchased at subsidized prices at Duong Vu factory, Thu Thua district and is supported by the factory to deliver to the awarding points.

Up to now, the program has donated 31 tons of rice to 5 districts of Can Giuoc, Can Duoc, Ben Luc and Duc Hoa and Tan Thanh. Here, rice bags will be distributed to households who are facing difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic. Each household receives 10 to 20 kg of rice.
Thereby, in order to bring a warm meal of gratitude, to help them partly overcome the immediate difficulties, together with the local government to well implement the prevention and control of COVID-19.
