Happiness in life is relative, depending on the concept of each person, but true happiness, true peace, there is only one, only, that is pure body and mind.
At one time, the Blessed One was staying among the people at Koli with the bhikkhus. Then the householder Anāthapindika went to pay homage, and the Blessed One said to Anāthapindika:
“There are these four kinds of happiness, householder, the householder enjoys the sensual pleasures obtained, depending on the time and occasion, arising for him. how is four? The happiness of possession, the happiness of life, the happiness of not being indebted, the happiness of not committing a crime.
Hey homeowner, what is lost possession? Here wealth is obtained through diligence, accumulated through perspiration, and rightly harvested. Thinking about that, he is happy.
What is misappropriation? This householder, a good man lives to use the property acquired in accordance with the law. Thinking about that, he is happy.
The key to peace
Hey homeowner, how is it not indebted? The good man does not owe anyone anything, no matter how much or how little. Thinking about that, he is happy.
What is lost without sin? Householder, the noble disciple who has accomplished bodily, verbal, and mental actions does not commit a crime. Thinking about that, he is happy.
Householder, there are these four kinds of happiness, for a lay person to enjoy the sensual pleasures obtained, depending on the time and occasion, arise for him. In which, the joy of owning, enjoying, and not indebted is only 1/16 of the joy of not committing a crime.

Pleasure in life it’s a lot. There are pleasures satisfying the senses, extroverted, noisy and hidden harm, danger, but there are inner joys that are gentle, ethereal and enduring. Therefore, happiness in life is relative, depending on the concept of each person, but true happiness, true peace, there is only one, only, that is pure body and mind.
Peace of mind when listening to learning stories
According to the wisdom of the World-Honored One, by doing righteous business, one becomes rich, the result of that labor is a joy and pride. Because the rich are not lacking, but few people have peace in their wealth through intrigue, competition, and deception. Property made by effort, of course we have the right to enjoy and share. And that new life is really peaceful and happy because there is no fear or guilt, repentance. In addition, thanks to food, you can get out of debt, no longer worry, be forced, depressed and always hold your head high in life.
However, not sinning is the greatest and most important happiness. All thoughts, words and deeds are pure, honest, self-interest and benefit of others is true happiness..Three karmas of body and mouth Pure mind or pure body and mind is the basis for establishing the deepest, most solid inner peace. And this is also the peace that Buddhists always aim for.
