On October 29, the Ministry of Health issued Decision No. 5002/QD-BYT on “Guidelines for amending and supplementing the Guidelines for pre-vaccination screening for children against COVID-19.”

In this Decision, the Ministry of Health supplemented the Checklist before vaccination against COVID-19 vaccine for children issued together with Decision 2470/QD-BYT dated June 14, 2019 of the Minister of Health on the promulgate guidelines for pre-vaccination screening for children.

According to the above decision, the pre-vaccination screening for children against COVID-19 includes tasks such as measuring body temperature and heart rate.

There are 8 factors that screeners need to consider: history of anaphylaxis to the previous COVID-19 vaccine or components of the COVID-19 vaccine; Having an acute or chronic disease; history of allergy to any allergen; perceptual disturbances, behavioral disturbances; congenital diseases, chronic diseases of the heart, lungs, digestive system, urinary tract, blood; abnormal auscultation of the heart or lungs; anaphylaxis grade 3 or higher with any allergen (specify allergen…); other contraindications, delays (if any, need to specify).
