Talking about the meaning of the praying ceremony, Most Venerable Thich Hue Thong said that in the vast universe, nature is always changing, floods, black winds, natural disasters and epidemics are really small for the human body. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused relatives to suddenly leave, without time to say a goodbye, no funeral, no relatives to see off.
“Praying for the dead spirit to rely on Buddha’s power, to be reborn in a happy situation and also to partly comfort the grief and loss of relatives and families of someone in distress,” Hoa Thuong said.
Mr. Le Van Bay, Chairman of the district Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, expressed his gratitude to government leaders at all levels, as well as to the Buddhist Executive Board of Binh Tan district for conducting a meaningful spiritual ceremony, in order to ease the pain. pain for the relatives of the deceased, as well as comfort the soul of the deceased during the pandemic, demonstrating the companionship and connection between religion and life.

Reportedly, during this 4th pandemic, in Binh Tan district with 10 wards, there were more than 70,000 cases of infection and 893 people died.
