On the same day, the Standing Board of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha issued a decision on approving the monk Thich Dong Hue (substitute of Nguyen Ngoc Trieu) to be ordained and resign from all positions in the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha as desired.

Monk Thich Dong Hue, alias Nguyen Ngoc Trieu, is a member of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Head of the Central Committee for International Buddhism, Standing Deputy Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ha Giang Province, and President of the Vietnamese Buddhist Association.
