The Buddha asked, “Do you think your daughter is very beautiful?” Ma-n-de replied: “Yes, my baby is very beautiful, from head to toe there is nothing that is not beautiful.”

Once upon a time, there was a man named Ma-Nan-De in the country of Cau-thi-thi, who gave birth to a dignified and beautiful daughter, and immediately brought him to the Buddha’s place. The Buddha then asked: “Do you think your daughter is very beautiful?” Ma-n-de replied: “Yes, my baby is very beautiful, from head to toe there is nothing that is not beautiful.”

The Buddha said: “It is wrong to look with the flesh. Now, when I look at your daughter from head to toe, I don’t see anything beautiful. He saw hair on his head, but it was of the same kind as the hair, just like the hair on a ponytail. Underneath the hair is the skull, but that skull is the bone, compared to the bones in the slaughtered pig’s head, it’s really no different.

The Buddha said: “It is wrong to look with the flesh.

Inside the skull is the brain, the shape is mushy like mud, but it has an unpleasant smell, if spilled on the ground, everyone is afraid to step on it. Those eyes are like water holes, often with tears. The nose is full of snot, the mouth is sputum… Inside the body is the liver, kidneys, lungs, everything is fishy.

In the large intestine, the bladder is filled with dirt and urine. Limbs and limbs are just bones, tendons and marrow are wrapped in skin, must rely on breathing in and out to move, like a wooden robot, moving is thanks to the internal machinery, if the machine stops working. The whole body must be disintegrated, every detail is disassembled, limbs are thrown out indiscriminately… The person we see is just that, where is it beautiful?”
