Head of the Organizing Committee of the Congress, HT.Thich Thanh Quyet gave the opening speech and expressed; Ha Nam Buddhism in the past time has not depended on the trust of Party, State and Fatherland Front agencies at all levels in social charity work, Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control, mobilizing dignitaries and trustees. Map and people participated in the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, promoting religious and ethnic solidarity, contributing to the consolidation of great national unity.

It is known that there are 545 temples in the province, accounting for 65.8% of the number of religious establishments in the province. The number of Buddhist dignitaries and monks is 477, accounting for 69% of the total number of religious dignitaries and monks in the province.

According to the report, specialized departments such as Buddhist guidance, culture, information and communication, control, and legality also operate effectively as planned in the V term.
Regarding social charity work, in the past 5 years, the Provincial Buddhist Executive Board has always actively and proactively implemented social security with a total charity amount of about 10 billion VND. Particularly in 2020, 2021, the focus of social charity work of the Provincial Buddhist Executive Board is mobilizing monks, nuns, Buddhists, and benefactors to support the Vaccine fund, the province’s Covid-19 prevention and control fund, support donating medical supplies and food for quarantine points, donating medicine, food, clothes… for people in the Central region affected by floods with an amount of about 6 billion VND.
Inheriting the achievements in the last term, the Provincial Buddhist Executive Board also sets out the operational direction for the 2022-2027 term, including nine key points to orient the Buddhist activities of the Executive Board and other members of the Buddhist Sangha. At the end of 5 years of Buddhist practice, HT.Thich Thanh Quyet, on behalf of the Board of Directors, term V, declared his resignation. Next, the Venerable Master approved the list of new staff members of the Executive Board, term VI.
At the congress, HT.Thich Thanh Nhieu, on behalf of the Probate Board, voted on the list of personnel for the sixth term, all delegates unanimously approved the list of personnel of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ha Nam province, term 2022-2027. consists of 56 members, of which 19 are permanent members. Accordingly, HT.Thich Thanh Quyet was elected and re-elected by the General Assembly to be the head of the Executive Board.
Representative of Ha Nam provincial government, Mr. Tran Xuan Duong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee had a speech, congratulating the Congress on electing new members of the Executive Board for a new term to continue to run Buddhist affairs and lead the way. Helping to orientate the Buddhist program for the sixth term of Buddhism in Ha Nam province, the chairman of the congress invited the Most Venerable Master of the TSSC to give teachings from the book. On this occasion, the Most Venerable Chairman also requested that, after the Congress, the Standing Board of Directors make a list of key personnel to submit to the Standing Committee of the Council of Youth for consideration and appointment decision.
