In terms of Education and Training, the Academy currently has nearly 3,200 students with a bachelor’s degree in Buddhism. Currently, the Academy is training 177 students who are studying for a master’s degree in Buddhism, including 4 courses and 19 doctoral students in Buddhist studies, including courses I and II; and is recruiting students for a PhD in Buddhism, course III. In addition, the Academy also cooperates with 02 Buddhist intermediate schools in the provinces of BR-VT and Tien Giang to train the Associate College of 190 students.
In the past year, in addition to taking care of the study and practice life of monks and nuns, the Academy’s Executive Board also focused on extra-curricular activities, mobilizing monks and nuns to actively participate in State activities. , social and Buddhist festivals. On January 8, 2022, with the permission of the Venerable Master, the Academy Office and the Board of Directors cooperated with Le Minh Xuan commune health station to organize the 3rd injection at Thanh Tam Pagoda for 1,022 people. Monks and nuns and staff working at the academy.
Especially this year, the Academy has been starting the construction of three major work items including: the Great Hall, the Library and the School Building, with a total estimated budget of more than 200 billion VND, different classes. The project is gradually being completed according to the expected schedule. The Great Hall alone has completed 90% of the interior of the building, aiming to welcome the Ho Chi Minh City and National Buddhist Congress at the end of 2022.
