On the evening of January 9 (December 7 – Tan Suu), at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha – Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi City) solemnly celebrated the day of Buddha Shakyamuni’s enlightenment.
The ceremony was witnessed by Venerable Thich Thanh Tuan, Standing Member of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Office of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha; Venerable Thich Nguyen Chinh, Member of the Executive Council, Deputy Office of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; Venerable Thich Quang Tiep, Member of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and representatives of the Youth Buddhist Club and Quan Su pagoda ashrams.
Before entering the ceremony, Venerable Thich Thanh Tuan gave a lecture on the meaning of the day Shakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment.
After that, the whole ashram chanted the Zhuan Falun, offered flowers and harassed the Buddha with one heart to pray for the peace of the nation, and the eradication of the epidemic.
