On the morning of January 14, on the eve of the Lunar New Year, the Provincial Committee for Ethnic Minority and Religion, led by Mr. Trinh Thanh Phong, Head of the Department, led the delegation to visit and wish New Year’s Eve to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha province.
At the meeting, Mr. Trinh Thanh Phong represented the delegation with brief information about the province’s socio-economic situation in 2021, a difficult year due to the impact of the prolonged epidemic situation. He noted, monks, nuns, Buddhists and the Provincial Buddhist Administration have performed charity work and social security, making great contributions to the epidemic prevention and control in the province.
Standing Representative of the Provincial Buddhist Council, Venerable Thich Giac Nghi, Standing Deputy Head, sincerely thanked the leaders for taking the time to congratulate the New Year to the Provincial Buddhist Executive Board, as well as thank the leaders for a year. over the years has always connected and created conditions for the province’s Buddhism to complete its Buddhist activities. In particular, Quan Am Phat Dai has been granted land use rights and over 30 monasteries are expected to be allowed to conduct concentrated religious activities thanks to the great attention from the leaders.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Trinh Thanh Phong presented to the Provincial Buddhist Executive Board a gift of spring greetings and wished the venerables a happy and peaceful year, together with monks and nuns, Buddhists welcome a peaceful spring.
