Worldly happiness is the endless tragic abyss, because it is just an illusion before the eyes of those who have lost their way in the desert. Loving sentient beings, the Buddha did not give them that worldly happiness, because he knew well that only pure peace is the source of sweet and wonderful happiness.

Enlightenment means seeing clearly, more and more clearly, the true nature of life. Living and realizing the extreme pain of life can be liberated and at peace.

When you meet people who seem happy and cheerful, as if they are proud of their positions and wealth, don’t be self-deprecating, but love them! They are the ones who are drowning, because indulging is being satisfied with happiness without knowing they are drowning.

As for me, I have faced suffering, I have been imbued with shame, so I have seen it with my own eyes and seen clearly what it is like, and thanks to that, I discovered the truth lurking behind happiness. happiness and suffering. Thus you are taking the correct steps on the path to enlightenment, facing the true face of life that the Buddha revealed in the Four Noble Truths. Don’t back down, beside me is your love and deep sympathy.

Accept everything that comes to you from life, from life or from death. Don’t ask for anything, don’t be afraid of anything, just go calmly into life.

My child, have the courage to rise up and stand proudly like a lion to look at life, don’t be afraid to avoid it, and don’t plan anything more for this life. If you desire any happiness, any improvement, that is the dangerous enemy.

Give happiness back to life’s temporary happiness, give suffering back to a life full of suffering. And we, the children of the Enlightened One, must be enlightened, liberated, not clinging to something better in life.

Watch and listen to suffering. Be patient and patient with it. And be ready to accept the happiness or suffering of life like a racquet player receiving unexpected balls from his opponent.

For my child, there is no path to enlightenment without danger and hardship, no liberation without going through bitterness and thorns. Don’t be afraid of the single journey alone. I do not go alone, beside me, there are teachers, uncles and fellow believers.

But remember, you must go in your own quiet solitude.

My dear child, in fact, suffering and humiliation are not our enemies, but the dark evil thoughts that lurk in various forms within us to make up many different faces. of the false self is an extremely dangerous enemy. So be careful, be alert, don’t be easily deceived by the enemy.

While sitting under the Bodhi tree, it was by discovering the true face of his enemies that the Bodhisatta became pure. It was at that moment of enlightenment that he faced all the enemies within who were rushing to attack according to the human sea strategy. He thus identifies all their dangerous false faces.

He pointed to their faces: “O enemies, you are lust, discontent, longing, lust, lethargy, fear, doubt, slander, stubbornness, gain, praise. . bring the bodies here so that I can see your false faces, from here on you can’t sneak under any mask to deceive me anymore.”

That’s what enlightenment is like, seeing clearly the true faces of those enemies whom you have always considered friends or even considered yourself. Now that I have seen the faces of the enemies in my heart, that is a great step forward on the path to enlightenment.

Deeply understanding all the meanings of suffering, understanding what is the path to enlightenment, you will truly understand what love is. You said that if you love your loved ones as yourself, you must first learn to love yourself. To love oneself is to forget it in order to enter the path full of dangers and dangers, to achieve final enlightenment.

So when you love your loved ones, why do you wish for them to have worldly happiness? Loving them, you should practice smiling when you see them facing suffering, because only there will they see the way to liberation. Surely liberation is the ultimate happiness. But liberation is only a consequence of enlightenment, and to be enlightened, one must see suffering, and its deep cause.

My dear child, in fact, suffering and humiliation are not our enemies, but the dark evil thoughts that lurk in various forms within us to make up many different faces. of the false self is an extremely dangerous enemy.

Learn to love yourself and others with that painful love, then you will understand what the infinite compassion of the Buddhas is. You have to be brave to have such love. The lack of courage and love is only a reflection of selfishness, mourning, grief, and attachment. With such consequential love, we only bind ourselves and others in a vicious circle of suffering. It’s like a bird lover keeping it locked in his golden cage. Such love has become a prison, where there is a prison, freedom suffocates. Without freedom and creativity, the door to enlightenment is locked. My child, what is more, love full of exploits and deceptions will only lead people to fall deep into a muddy abyss, right?

Back to the painful truth of life, there will be the right environment for you to develop love, a love that is unobstructed enough to support the journey of enlightenment and liberation.

Finally, I wrote down a passage for you from the “Law on the Treasure King Tam Mui” to help you courageously move forward on the path of practice.

“The Buddha established the righteous Dharma, took illness as a good medicine, made success with affliction, liberated from thorns, took the demon army as his friend, took difficulty as his success, and took a bad friend as a human being. helping, taking the enemy as a companion, taking kindness as a slipper, taking profit as glory, taking injustice as a momentum for progress. So stay within the obstacles and overcome them all.”

“The Blessed One was enlightened in all the obstacles, Angulimala assaulted, Devadatta stirred up, but the Buddha converted all of them to enlightenment. So isn’t rebellion the creation, but the disturbance the help?”

My dear,

You should act like grown-up Buddhists, without inferiority and guilt, without timidity and weakness, and if necessary you have the right to be proud of being a child of Buddha. Saying that does not mean self-respect, but just to be confident in yourself on the path to enlightenment. I pray for you to have the courage to overcome all dangers with unobstructed steps in the midst of impermanent space-time.

“Listen to the footsteps

Step through time

Timeless time

Footsteps are not spacious”
