Knowing depending on conditions is a wise, proactive and positive attitude towards success, especially the ability to accept reality and be at ease in the face of all the inherent ups and downs of life.
Dependent means that the dharmas are dependent on causes and conditions that arise, stay, change, pass away or become, abide, break up, empty. When there are enough causes (main causes), full conditions (sub-causes), the event (things) becomes; lack of cause, poor grace, the event (things) has not been completed. The success, stay, destruction, not of the world, things, phenomena; Prosperity, failure, gain, loss or birth, old age, illness, and death of a person’s life are completely dependent on causes and conditions.
Because there are so many conditions for a success, no one can predict anything. Those who know how to live depending on conditions should try to make it as good as possible, and if other conditions are objective, they hope and wish for favorable conditions. The ancients generalized that success must meet the conditions of heaven, location, and human harmony.
When we know that all dharmas are dependent on causes and conditions, good or bad, success or failure, we actively try to create good and positive causes and conditions to expect good retribution. Later, if we succeed, we are not too proud, because we know that the good conditions are complete. Or, after trying our best, but things still don’t go as planned, we are also at peace and happy with reality because it’s not enough.
So the concept of living dependently in Buddhism is not “passive, negative because it’s like giving up, letting what comes will come” as you think. On the contrary, knowing depending on conditions is a wise, proactive and actively transforming attitude to success, especially the ability to accept reality and be at ease in the face of all the inherent ups and downs of life. life.
