TT.Thich Giac Nghi, Deputy Head of the Information Committee cum Chief Secretary of the Board of Directors, briefly reported on Buddhist affairs for the V term.
According to statistics, the whole province has 130 temples, including 85 Northern Buddhist temples, 28 Khmer Theravada Buddhist temples, 08 Mendicant Viharas, 60 unrecognized Pure Houses, 09 house-monasteries and 01 establishment. In the last term, the School has trained 204 monks and nuns, College of Buddhism has graduated 78 students, Intermediate Buddhist Studies has graduated 126, and opening course VI; Successfully organized major holidays: Buddha’s Birthday, Vu Lan, Bodhisattva Guanyin… Accordingly, the Departments to propagate the Dharma, guide Buddhists, culture, information and media also coordinate smoothly and in unison. The ministry organizes creative activities in the new situation. In the year 2021, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province has directed the successful organization of the Buddhist Congress of 07 units of districts, towns and cities under the province for the term 2021-2026.

The People’s Committee of Bac Lieu province awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives and 12 individuals who made active contributions to the cause of building blocks to achieve national unity.
At the end of 5 years of Buddhist practice, HT.Thich Hue Tri, on behalf of the Board of Directors, term VI, declared his resignation and entrusted the responsibility to the next generation.
Next, the Venerable Master also represented the Human Resources Subcommittee of the Congress to present the expected list of personnel for the Buddhist Executive Board of Bac Lieu province, term VI.
Receiving the list of personnel for the sixth term, on behalf of the Proving Committee, the Most Venerable Chairman of the TSSC took the votes of the delegates.
All delegates unanimously approved the list of staff members of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Bac Lieu province, term VI (2022-2027), including 61 members.
