On the morning of May 5, 2022, the model of 7 pink lotus flowers was officially launched on Nhieu Loc canal in front of the Quan Am area of the monastery (at 384 Truong Sa, Ward 2, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City).
The lotus work is imbued with Buddhist imprints, to show the devout heart and to turn to the Buddha Shakyamuni on this great occasion.
Nun Hue Duc – Abbot of the monastery said that the lotus model is designed with 24 petals, with a diameter of 6m, and a height of 3m placed on a 3m wide floating mound. It took nearly 30 consecutive working days to complete the work in time for the launch date.
This year, the monastery launched a model of 7 pink lotus flowers representing the 7 steps of Germany’s birth from the guru Shakyamuni, leading sentient beings back to enlightenment and this event is an opportunity to Quan Am Monastery and Buddhists nationwide celebrate Buddha’s birthday PL. 2566
It is known that on the evening of April 8 (on May 8, 2022), Quan Am Monastery will light 7 lotus flowers on Nhieu Loc canal.
This is also the 10th time BTS Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Phu Nhuan district collaborated with Quan Am Monastery to launch 7 models of lotus flowers to celebrate the day. Buddha was born and lit until the end of the full moon of April.
