DD.Thich Tam Thanh, Chief Secretary of the Executive Board, reporting on Buddhist affairs at the Congress, said that according to statistics in the whole province, there are 65 legally recognized Buddhist worship establishments (64 pagodas and 01 Buddhist recitation). road), 13 pagodas are historical and cultural relic, of which 05 pagodas have not been established according to regulations. In the area, there are 109 monks and nuns serving the religion. On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Church awarded the Certificate of Commendation of Merit to 7 groups and 23 individuals who actively contributed merit to the overall development of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
At the same time, Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 3 individuals; actively contributed to the cause of building great solidarity of the whole people, donated 2 collectives and 2 individuals to contribute to the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic.
At the end of 5 years of practicing Buddhism, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, on behalf of the Buddhist Executive Board of Nghe An province, term II, announced his resignation.
TT.Thich Tho Lac, representative of the Human Resources Subcommittee of the congress presented the list of personnel expected to be introduced into the Buddhist Executive Board of Nghe An province for the third term (2022-2027).
Accordingly, Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Sangha Council, took votes from the delegates, and all delegates unanimously approved the list of personnel of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province for the third term (2022-2027) including 28 members. pellets.
