Once you have followed the Buddha’s teachings, if you know how to repent with one heart, abandon evil for good, never commit any more crimes, take precepts as the root, and practice diligently, you will be able to resolve accidents or pay off minor sins. .. When receiving retribution or disaster, we must understand that we are releasing past karma.
In today’s society, natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, water-fires, plagues, wars, car crashes… always arise. What should we do to avoid accidents? In the Quan Dinh Sutra, Buddha said:
If we take refuge in the Three Jewels then there will be 36 protectors, gods and kings to protect. Those who uphold the five precepts are protected by five dharmapalas, a total of 25 gods. These god kings have countless relatives, all of whom support the cultivator.
In the Buddha’s theory of the Four Heavenly Kings, the same is written.
Aunt Tran is a devout Buddhist, 72 years old this year, with a rosy, bright face, full of spirit, everyone who meets her compliments her as both young and beautiful. It was impossible to guess that it was an old woman over 70.
But about 10 years ago, Aunt Tran’s spirit was far different from now. At that time, my aunt was a sick person, suffering from many internal diseases, and had to take medicine all year round because of senility.
God’s blessing for the human realm
Every time I go to the hospital, my aunt is very worried, afraid that she will discover new diseases when checked, and she is always afraid of death. Living in anxiety every day. Until one day, my aunt went to the temple to worship the Buddha and asked for a book “Reporting for Life”. After returning home to watch, my aunt suddenly became enlightened: it turns out that there is still a Buddha Dharma in the world that is a medicine or cure for many diseases. Not only skillfully treating body and mind, but also benefiting sentient beings.
Since then, Auntie Tran began to study Buddhism, become a vegetarian, Repent of karma. Until her second year of practicing Buddhism, an unexpected thing happened.
That afternoon, my aunt and granddaughter went for a walk in the park. As soon as we came to the bend, suddenly a cyclist appeared from behind and ran straight into Aunt Tran. The strange thing is that the car hit her, then it bounced back, shot really hard a few meters away and then “Boom” with a sound, both the car and the person causing the accident fell straight into the opposite lake on the left.
At this time, the niece panicked, and quickly asked:
– Oh my! Are you okay, got hit too hard?
– No, it’s okay! – Auntie Tran smiled.
– Is there any reason for that? I can clearly see that the car hit her so hard that it bounced back and flew straight into the lake! Let me take you to the hospital to check!
– No problem! No need to do so.
While the two aunts and children were talking, the driver who fell into the lake was able to crawl ashore, he rushed over with anger. Even though he was still far away, he hastily pointed at Aunt Tran and shouted:
– This old woman, dares to crash into your “dad’s” car!?
– Oh my gosh! This man is a true swashbuckler! Obviously, after hitting my aunt, he “flyed” straight into the lake, everyone here can see it!
The crowd around also shouted at the cyclist, he was yelled at, speechless, he had to sneak away to the lake and pull the bike up.
Everyone quickly advised Auntie Tran:
– She has to go to the hospital right away, we see that the car hit her very hard, check it out for peace of mind, to prevent risks…
So Auntie Tran went to the hospital to check, the results were that except for the back injury, the rest were normal, without any problems. So the nephew next to him felt very strange.
After that, Auntie Tran told me (ie Qua Hong):
– In the moment of being hit by a bicycle, I felt like I had an iron barrier behind my back, so I didn’t get hurt, but I didn’t know what happened.
– Thanks to my aunt’s strict precepts, and diligently following the Buddha’s teachings, she was helped by Bodhisattva Vi Da Dharma Protector to help her resolve the accident. An iron plate stopped the bicycle to prevent her from getting hurt. …
The power of the Buddhadharma is inconceivable. Those who uphold the precepts and standards, in times of danger, will receive heavy and light retribution, and when they encounter evil, they will turn to good.”
Further explanation: “Why do some people diligently practice Buddhism and still have accidents? That’s because when they haven’t studied Buddhism, in this life they have created evil karmas of killing, stealing, sex… even the evil karmas created from beginningless lifetimes up to now have ripened, so the results show up. The retribution is ripe, the Dharma protectors can’t stop it even if they want to)
Once you have followed the Buddha’s teachings, if you know how to repent with one heart, abandon evil for good, never commit any more crimes, take precepts as the root, and practice diligently, you will be able to resolve accidents or pay off minor sins. .. When receiving retribution or disaster, we must understand that we are releasing past karma. In the Diamond Sutra, there is a sentence: “Good men and women who recite this sutra, if they are despised by others, because of their sins in their previous lives, they deserve to fall into evil paths. Because of being despised in this life, they will be pitiful in their previous lives. destroyed..
