
After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nun Hanh Chieu – Abbot of Truc Lam Monastery, Truc Lam Zen Monastery, and Phu Lau Na ashram organized a meditation retreat, repentance and refuge in the Three Jewels for More than 1000 good men and women Buddhists.
“Sentient beings are unenlightened Buddhas, Buddhas are enlightened beings” is the preface of this second introductory course.
The course is held periodically on the second Sunday of the month and on the second Friday of every month for good men and women, blind Buddhists.
At the retreat, the nuns guided Buddhists to practice six senses of repentance, sitting meditation, walking meditation, mindful eating and listening to Dharma talks.
During the lecture, the nun shared that this body is conditioned, does not bring in any birth, but ceases on its own and meets the body’s requirements: “Please return to yourself, to what belongs to you. to transform, clean up karma, let go of greed, hatred and delusion. That is the main job of a Buddhist disciple.”
After the Dharma talk, the Buddhists took a break and meditated at To Duong for 60 minutes.
Following the retreat program is the ceremony of taking refuge in the Three Jewels. HT. Thich Nhat Quang – Abbot of Thuong Chieu Zen Monastery has demonstrated and transmitted the Tam Quy Five Precepts to 51 Buddhists at the main hall of Truc Lam Tri Duc Zen Monastery. The Venerable Master advised, taking refuge is taking refuge as the Buddha taught, following the Buddha’s words, taking refuge with the Sangha is relying on nuns to guide you to study the Dharma, take refuge in the Three Jewels with your own mind, and voluntarily live with a bright mind. transparent. After the ceremony, the Buddhists received the certificate of refuge.

At the end of the traditional meditation course, Most Venerable Thich Nhat Quang – Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha BTS in Dong Nai province, the owner of Thuong Chieu Zen Monastery shared how to keep a clear mind when practicing meditation to maintain and promote the quintessence.
