On the afternoon of June 12, the summer retreat “Sowing the Bodhi Seed” at Thien Truc Pagoda (Bao Thang District, Lao Cai Province) held a closing ceremony after 9 days of studying.

The training program was led by the direct guidance of Venerable Thich Chan Dinh, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Bao Thang district, abbot of Thien Truc pagoda, with the participation of 150 Buddhist students.

At the ceremony, Venerable Thich Chan Dinh gave a speech summarizing the retreat. Accordingly, at the retreat, the children were guided in basic meditation practice, helping them to become aware of the importance of silence, learn to master their consciousness and improve their mental health. The retreat also helps children to live in harmony, practice living according to the framework of Buddhist precepts, understand community communication skills…

On this occasion, layman Dieu Nhan – Nguyen Thi Xuan Loan, Member of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Secretary of the Central Committee for Buddhist Guidance delivered a speech congratulating the retreat on its successful completion as well as appreciating the efforts. of the Organizing Committee guided the students to have a meaningful body and mind retreat.

Layman Dieu Nhan also thanked the attention of creating favorable conditions of the authorities at all levels, which was the driving force to help the next retreats be more complete.

At the end of the ceremony, the students chanted the Cause and Effect Sutra together. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the retreat also held a ceremony to thank their parents for the students to show their respect and filial piety.
