At Truc Lam Yen Tu Cultural Center (Uong Bi City), on June 18, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh province held a carpentry penalty ceremony for the interior construction project of Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace.
Attending the ceremony were the Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh Province, the President of the Yen Tu Communal House, along with the venerable dignitaries of the Provincial Executive Committee, representatives of the Department, the Board of provincial branch, Uong Bi city.
The Executive Board of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh province decided to invest in building the Palace Truc Lam Yen Tuwas conceived through a journey of research for more than 10 years, built in 2 years and completed phase 1 on the occasion of the Great Memorial Ceremony of 710 years of Emperor Buddha Tran Nhan Tong’s passing into nirvana (2018). .
Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace phase 1 was built on an area of more than 6,000 m2, invested by the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh province, with a total estimated budget of more than 200 billion VND from merit and socialization.
Interior construction project of Cung Truc Lam Yen Tu with an investment of over VND 30 billion. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
Speaking at the ceremony, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet said that Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace is the place to worship Truc Lam Tam To, this is a work of great significance in terms of culture, architecture and landscape. This new complex is a buffer zone, as a background, supplement, honor and add value to the core area of Yen Tu relic site.
