On the morning of June 30, 2022, Most Venerable Thich Minh Thien – Senior Vice President of the Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha in Long An Province, proved that the Executive Board of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha in Duc Hoa district, the head of the Linh Nguyen Communal House, Zen The owner of the lower school Linh Nguyen Quang Lam gave a lecture at the lower schools in Duc Hoa district.
Welcoming the Venerable were: Venerable Thich Le Duyen – Deputy Head and Chief Secretary of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Long An province, the Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha in Duc Hoa district, the head of the abbot of Linh Nguyen Communal House; Venerable Thich Minh Trung – Standing Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Duc Hoa district; Venerable Thich Thien Truc – Vice President of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Duc Hoa district; Venerables Standing Honorable Mention of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha in Duc Hoa District, Honorable Mentors of the Department of Civil Affairs of Linh Nguyen High School; more than 100 monks, monks, nuns, and practitioners of the two lower schools.
After the invitation of the Venerable Head of the Buddhist Administration of the district, the Venerable Master began a Dharma talk. The Venerable Master shared with the public the sermon “The Great Example of the Tree Core”, belonging to the 29th Central Sutra.
At the beginning of the lecture, the Venerable Master emphasized the need to ordained both body and mind; After talking about dependent origination of the sutta, the Venerable Master compared everyone to people who go into the forest to look for incense. Agarwood is not the twig, the outer bark, the inner bark or the cup, but the core of the tree.
Through this sutta, the Venerable Master would like to convey to the living practitioners to study diligently together, aiming for the aspiration to protect the Dharma for a long time in the world, benefit all sentient beings, and fulfill the supreme aspiration. Praying for the Buddha Way – lowering sentient beings, you should remember what the core of a tree is, don’t waste your efforts but only bring back branches, leaves or bark, it’s a waste of a lifetime of your own practice.
