On the afternoon of July 1, the Organizing Committee of the Buddhist Ceremony Seminar arrived at Cat Bi Airport, Hai Phong City to welcome the Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha to demonstrate and direct the seminar. .
It is known that the 3rd National Ceremonial Conference took place after many delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The seminar with the theme “Inheriting and promoting the tradition of Vietnamese Buddhist rituals in the integration period” took place in Hai Phong city.
The seminar took place in two days, July 1 and 2, with many contents discussed to create a premise for development and a new direction for the Buddhist Ritual industry in the future.
On the morning of July 1, the Organizing Committee went to Du Hang Pagoda (Phuc Lam Pagoda) to worship the Buddha, then visited and thanked the authorities at the headquarters; lay a memorial wreath at the City Martyrs Monument.
In the afternoon of the same day, the Organizing Committee reviewed the organization, collected opinions and voted on a number of tasks for the opening session and discussion tomorrow, July 2.
According to Most Venerable Thich Giac Liem, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Ceremonial Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, the Organizing Committee has received 59 presentations from religious leaders and researchers and scholars from provinces and cities sent to the Association. beautiful. Through the presentations, it shows the concern and concern about the ritual work, as well as the variations of the Buddhist Ritual today, which is a matter for discussion.
The 3rd National Conference on Buddhist Ceremonies will be officially held with the participation of religious leaders of the Church; government agencies, scholars, researchers with the official number of 250 official delegates and nearly 200 Buddhists.
