Recently, Binh Duong Province Buddhist Intermediate School held the graduation exam for the V course of the 2019-2022 school year at the Nirvana Buddha Cultural Center – Hoi Khanh Communal House (Thu Dau Mot City), after a while for a long time continuously implementing online teaching and learning programs due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.
The exam is placed under the presence of evidence and chaired by: TT. Thich Chon Phat – Member of the Buddhist Council, Vice President of the Executive Committee cum Head of the Buddhist Education Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Binh Duong Province, Rector of the Buddhist Sangha School; Venerable Thich Thien Hung – Deputy Head of the BTS and Head of the Department of Information and Communication of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha province, Vice Rector of the school; along with the Venerables, members of the Board of Directors, Board of Supervisors and nearly 90 monks and nuns who are studying in Course V of Binh Duong Buddhist Intermediate School.
With Formula “Buddhist Studies for enlightenment – study Buddhism for liberation”, the Venerable emphasized: Graduation today is just to end a process of cultivation. For a monk, a career in cultivation is a lifetime. However, for those monks and nuns who do not have the conditions to continue their studies, the graduation results as well as the Buddhist knowledge gained in the past 3 years are also self-pay for cultivation, and each person’s future Buddhist activities. As for those who have the conditions to continue studying, today’s graduation results are the basis and criteria for them to continue taking the next exams.
The graduation result is to repay, to be grateful for the merits of the Master, the leaders of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Binh Duong province, the veneration of the Board of Directors, the Teaching Board, the Supervisory Board, as well as the reward. The donation is directed to the good Buddhist friends who have warmly donated to the school during the past years. Thereby, the Venerable Master encouraged and encouraged more than 90 monks and nuns to maintain their spirit, stay calm, always Mindfulness use social networks. Because of today’s media crisis, creating an opportunity for outsiders to slander the Buddhadharma, and to wish all monks and nuns to do well in their exams. At the same time, the Venerable also asked the teachers in the Board of Supervisors to well implement the issued regulations and rules, so that the graduation results can be reflected honestly and objectively.
On behalf of the Office of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha, SC. Thich Nu An Huong – Member of the Executive Board, Chief Secretary of the Provincial Buddhist Nuns Sub-Committee, Secretary of the Office of the Provincial Buddhist Nun School, announced the reading of the Rules and implemented the exam rules to the end. Sangha was born.
After that, Venerable Thich Le Lac – Member of the Provincial Buddhist Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Sangha Ceremonies Committee. Di An, the General Superintendent cum Chief of the School’s Office, officially opened the seal of the first exam subject.
This exam will start from July 4 to 9, 2022 (on June 6 to 11 of the Year of the Tiger). Monks and nuns must pass the following internal exams: Vajrayana Sutra, Central Central Sutra quotes, Nikaya Sutras, A Ham Sutras, Outlines of Precepts, and Outlines of Buddhist Texts. Foreign language subjects such as: Chinese literature, Buddhism, Vietnamese history, Vietnamese law, English, Buddhism, Chinese language, Vietnamese beliefs, Vietnamese literature history.
After the exam, monks and nuns will have a break, wait for the final results of the fifth course of the school year (2019-2022) and then focus on attending the Graduation and Opening Ceremony of the sixth semester of the school year (2022-2025). scheduled on September 19, 2022 at the Buddhist Intermediate School of Binh Duong province.
