Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon signed Official Letter No. 295/HDTS-VP1 to the Central Committees and Institutes; The Executive Boards of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha of provinces and cities; Temples and monasteries nationwide on organizing activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2022).
The letter states:
Gratitude and gratitude are the human teachings of Buddhism and the fine cultural tradition of the Vietnamese nation. Every year, every year on the occasion of the 27th of July, the day of war invalids, martyrs, monks and nuns, and Buddhists, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha organizes a great ceremony to pray for super heroes and martyrs to commemorate the great merits of the martyrs. Heroes and martyrs sacrificed their blood and blood for the independence of the nation, for the cause of national unification, for a peaceful and happy life for the People.
This year, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the day of war invalids and martyrs (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2022), the Standing Board of the Executive Council respectfully proposes to the Central Committee and Institute; Executive Boards of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha at all levels; Temples and monasteries throughout the country organize rituals to pray for heroes and martyrs, and visit and give gifts to wounded and sick soldiers; families of martyrs and families with meritorious services to the revolution to express their gratitude and gratitude.
We hope that you, monks and nuns, Buddhists actively participate in activities of gratitude, gratitude and fulfilling the duties of the Buddha’s children in this meaningful Buddhist work.
