There are these two types of people among the Tathagatas, and yet they give rise to slander. What are two people? Is the wrong French say is the right law; saying the right dharma is the wrong dharma. Those are two people who slander the Tathagata.

During the time when the World-Honored One was still in the world, in the process of traveling to and fro, he sometimes encountered the opposition of the wrong views of the pagan religion. When the Buddha passed away, after more than 26 centuries of transmission, his teachings also encountered many criticisms and criticisms of those with dissenting views. But that’s a very common thing in this world.

There is an unusual thing, not just now, that since the time of the Blessed One, “there are these two types of people in the Tathagata’s assembly, but they start slandering”. Especially, when the posterity is far away from the Buddha, the slander is even heavier. Although no one intentionally does this, especially the likes of Thich Tu, but due to ignorance, self-righteousness, negligence, … many causes and conditions, it turns out to slander the Tathagata.

“Once the Buddha was in the country of Savatthi, in the Kyda forest, in the Garden of Solitude.

Then the Blessed One said to the bhikkhus:

– There are these two types of people among the Tathagatas who arise slander. What are two people? Is the wrong French say is the right law; saying the right dharma is the wrong dharma. Those are two people who slander the Tathagata.

There are two people who do not slander the Tathagata. how is two? That is, the wrong dharma (non-dharma) is said to be the wrong dharma, and the right dharma (true dharma) is said to be the right dharma. Those are two people who do not slander the Tathagata. Therefore, bhikkhus, let’s say wrong dharma is wrong dharma, right dharma let’s say right dharma. Thus, bhikkhus, learn this!

At that time the bhikkhus, having heard the Buddha’s teaching, happily obeyed.

Buddhism as a convergence, including all traditions, sects, major sects. The good condition for the country’s dharma is that despite the convergence of many sources, it still retains unity and harmony.

To defame the Buddhadharma is to kill oneself!

The Blessed One predicted the “lion worm” syndrome a long time ago. Because no animal can knock down a lion except the germs in the lion’s body. In the same way, outsiders, no matter how much they slander the Tathagata, still have no problem with the Dharma. But it is the members of the Tathagata’s congregation who are in danger of slandering him for preaching the wrong Dharma, and possibly seriously damaging the Dharma.

At the time of the World-Honored One, many times he ordered the bhikkhus to preach the wrong Dharma and severely reprimanded him. Fortunately, he should correct it in time, then everything will go into order. Today, Buddhism is ubiquitous in the world, divided into two great traditions Northern and Southern.

In Vietnam, Buddhism is like a convergence, including all the main traditions, sects and sects. The good condition for the country’s dharma is that despite the convergence of many sources, it still retains unity and harmony.

But recently, there is a disturbing phenomenon taking place in the field of Dharma preaching that some shamans and teachers preach the Buddhadharma with personal opinions such as denying hell and heaven (pure land). bewildered Buddhists. These are the premises established by the Tathagata present in the treasure of Theravada Buddhism as well as Developmental Buddhism.

In connection with the teaching “The wrong Dharma is said to be the right Dharma; saying the right dharma is the wrong dharma. Those are two people who slander the Tathagata”, so can they be considered Dharma preachers or “lion worms” who are contributing to the destruction of the Buddhadharma?

Hopefully, the Church as well as the responsible religious leaders in the preaching industry promptly correct and prevent this distortion. Let’s uphold the Right View and fearless spirit of the messenger Tathagata, “If the Dharma is wrong, say it is wrong, if it is right, say it is the right Dharma” so that the Buddha Dharma will be perpetuated and sentient beings at peace.
