The Vietnam Environment Award is chaired by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to present to organizations, individuals and communities with outstanding achievements in the cause of environmental protection; develop the movement for environmental protection, natural resource management, response to climate change. The award held this time has an important meaning, contributing to the effective implementation of the revised Law on Environmental Protection in 2020, and thereby continuing to develop the movement and promote environmental protection activities in 2021. and the following years.
From July 2019 to September 2021, the Central Committee of Information and Communication – Vietnam Buddhist Church, besides communicating according to the functions and tasks assigned by the Church, the Central Committee of Information and Communication has focused on Communicating topics on environmental protection on the Church’s media publications and at the Vietnam Buddhist Communication Portal at: phat Giao.org.vnJournal of Buddhist Studies.

Calculating the total period from the establishment of the Central Committee of Information and Communications (July 2013) to now, there are hundreds of articles; that is not including media articles on Buddhist media publications, dozens of reportages, clips on An Vien Television and on electronic news sites, Buddhist websites, thousands of photos of activities such as Picking up trash, planting trees, freeing animals, organizing volunteer clubs to join hands to protect the environment. At the same time, guiding the organization of exhibitions and seminars on vegetarianism to protect the environment, protect wildlife, organize lectures on environmental protection integrated in teaching teachings at the ashrams. .
The Central Committee of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha combined with the Journal of Buddhist Studies to develop thematic topics on SPRING & ENVIRONMENT such as the Spring issue of January 2020 and the Spring issue of January 2021, the Journal of Buddhist Studies has built. Theme on Spring Day, Buddha’s Day, environmental protection; The September 2021 issue of the Journal of Buddhist Studies, published “The role of Buddhism in environmental protection and climate change response”.
The Central Committee of Information and Communications cooperates with Traffic International in Vietnam to protect wildlife, protect rhinos; Coordinating to participate in launching the tree planting festival in provinces and cities across the country and organize a contest on vegetarianism to protect the environment.
